What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

We didn't have our BE meeting today. So, I tried to sleep in - but didn't. Patrick did though. 

I started laundry and it didn't go very far. Think I got 2 loads done all day today. We pretty much watched TV most of the day. I did get my monthly beads today. I love the colors this time. 

I have some of them and will add them to what I have. The others I will work on getting them in my boxes. I will do that later on.

 This morning we were up after sleeping in. Since I wasn't going to moms today, I wanted to work on the quilt downstairs, but when Patrick told me we would be leaving in an hour and a half, I figured I wouldn't get much done. So, I played a couple games. 

Then we headed out to his appointment in Olympia. I didn't go in this time, as I didn't want to pass out again. They did ask him where I was, and he told them I was waiting in the waiting room. He didn't want ...

 Today I was up and out the door. I stopped at Connie's and dropped off the tops with some batting. Then headed to moms. There were 9 of us there. 2 haven't been in a long time. It was a little crowded in the house. I didn't stay long because we had to Olympia for Patrick. Then Debbie texted and wanted to see if I had the blue fabric for her quilt. 

I left early and met up with Debbie. I was out of the fabric she wanted. Told her to check with Connie.

 Today I was off to moms. I had everything ready to take to Connie's. Texted her and she reminded me that I was to stop by Friday and not today. So, I headed on to moms. Picked up some tea for both of us. 

We left shortly there after. All the way to Olympia. We got to the eye doctor (animal) office about 20 mins early. Then we called them. They have a set up since Covid - where you park in lots 1-9 and call the number to the office. You tell them your there and they tell you ...

 Today I was up and out the door. 

Arrived at moms after stopping at the pharmacy. They lost 3 pharmacists and where working with just one person. At least I was early enough that I was out of there in 30 mins. Had 3 people in front of me that took awhile. I was hoping to get in and out, but wasn't worried about it. 

When I arrived, Hildi and Ethel had just arrived. I didn't take anything to work on. I did take the quilts for Debbie as she was going to stop by. When everyone arrived ...

 I packed up the quilt tops, thread, quilt, project and veggies to go to moms. My first stop was to Connie to drop off the quilt tops to be quilted for QOV. Then it was off to moms. I showed the quilt to the gals. This was the quilt that Sandy gave me to see if we could use it for a QOV quilt. It is also a Queen size quilt. After a lot of chattering, they decided it would not work. It's too big, and the theme (even though red, white and blue), didn't go with patriotic ...

Today was a slow day. I took awhile to get moving. 

Once I did, I pulled out the light box and started marking the back of my block. I decided to do the back basting for the flower as well as change the color. 

This is the color I'm going for now. I will put those on and then put the others on. There is a lot of step on this one. 

Once that was done, I went to get my beading started. YEP - another beading project ...

This morning I was working on the blocks that I was looking at yesterday. I need to figure out what I want to do about my block.

 This morning I got stuff ready to go. I needed to take the QOV quilt to the museum. (Realizing at this moment - it's still in the car!)

I headed to moms. I had my applique work to take with me. I also took the quilt and something else. I arrived early and we were getting ready for everyone. I worked on my crackers and then worked on a dip for everyone. Once that was done I was watching Daisy in the yard. She ticked me off because she didn't want to come back in. It was already getting ...

 Today I was up and out the door. Headed to moms first. Then when Nancy came, we headed to Carmen's house. She lives out past Ada's High School. 

We worked on our applique. I got busy to try and finish the quilt block for Nona. 

Sunbonnet Sue is done. I was happy with the way it came out. Better than I thought, and I did a good job on it. Can't say that about all the ones I do. 

While we were appliqueing - Carmen's dog "Max" came and wanted attention. Love this dog!!

 This morning I was running late. Had to make a trip to the bank, then got a Chai tea before heading to moms. I arrived to find Nancy at the post boxes, so went around the corner. Stopped to see what she was doing and she couldn't get her packages because the key wasn't working. I got it to work, and she had 2 boxes. We both then headed to moms. I arrived to find that Carmen was already there, but delivering food across the street.

I couldn't sleep last night - again. So, at 7 am I finally got up. I had an idea of taking a quilt up to Bill. That quilt would be our quilt and we'd pay him for it. He wanted more quilts to quilt. So, I pulled out 3 quilt tops out and showed Patrick. One was 104" big. I didn't have backing or batting that would fit it. So, that was passed up. I did pull out the Christmas quilt that I had basted for hand quilting. I will see if he can do that one. Then ...

 It was a good day. I didn't want to work on much today. Instead, I cleaned up and put away all the supplies I needed for the beading ornaments. I wanted to put stuff away that I didn't need for awhile. The table is clean up, except for the Snowman. 

I then got to work on laundry. Then I worked on some Sugar Cookies - that are in the refrigerator. I really didn't do much today. I did wrap the gift for Cherry.

I finished the last of the ornaments. This one is done - and I did finish ...

 Guess I forgot to do my blogging last night. Not really but when I thought about blogging, I got side tracked and then forgot. 

We all know I'm like a dog that sees a squirrel  or a cat thzt sees a bird. If I see something I need or want to do, I'm off running and to heck with what I was working on. In this case, I decided to number my wordchart.

So before going to bed,  I  pulled 8 sheets out and started counting.  That way when I work on my bead work, I'm not ...

 This morning I was up and running. I stopped at Safeway for Almond milk and chai tea. Planned on making tea at moms. 

Next stop was dropping the laptop at the computer place. Ed who owns the shop, wasn't there so left it with his employ. I showed him my list of issues. He looked at me and said he couldn't read my list. I said, "Yeah, my handwriting isn't the best." He said, "No, I mean I can't read the writing. " It was script and not printed.  So, I went down the list for him ...

 Today was the day I was heading over to Nancy's. She and I have been meeting on Fridays since mom let. Mom's back but is in quarantine since she got back last week. 

I arrived around 9:15 this morning.  She had a couple guys there putting her microwave in. After they left, one of the guys that did the cabinets came to put in another shelf and worked on the mess that was left over. Carmen came and we took a walk. It was a good walk, as I really needed to get out there. We stopped ...

 Today started out with me going over to Nancy's since mom is in Las Vegas - or Utah now that I think of it. Mom's at the cabin in Utah with my 2 brothers and their wives. 

Nancy and I did some stitching to start out. She told me of her son having back issues and was going to the doctors today. So, while we were stitching he was texting what was going on. He was going to help her get all her cabinets taken out so the new cabinets would go in on Monday. The doctors first thought ...

 This morning I had to stop and get mom some milk before heading to her place. Arrived around 9:30 am and there were already 3 people there. They were chatting and snacking when I arrived. 

I went to work on checking our family tree, because I was listening to the book "Mayflower" on my way over to moms. I thought we were of the Bradford family but I have Bradbury. I also don't go back far enough on the White family to see if we are part of the Bradford family. I check on my Benjamin White and ...

Today I was up and out the door before mom was up. Stopped and got us some Chai tea at Starbucks. 

Arrived around 9:45 am. Shortly after I arrived Nancy showed up too. We all worked on the block for Ethel. It's a 5" block that is appliqued. 

When we stopped to have lunch we saw a deer at the neighbors house. It thought it was so funny ...

This morning I was up and waiting on mom to show up. She stopped at Starbucks to get each of us a drink.

She arrived around 10:30 am. Daisy was with her. Poor dog! She's waiting to get eye surgery. Poor think can't see out of her eyes very well. So, they have her getting surgery up in Olympia in Aug. There was a couple times when she wanted to go into the sliding glass doors on the side that didn't slide.
